Bluetooth on iPod Touch 2nd Gen!

If you didn't know your iPod Touch 2nd Gen has bluetooth capabilities. Long ago, iFixit did a complete teardown of an iPod Touch and surprisingly found a "Broadcom Bluetooth Chipset". Now this was back in September 2008, and people had pretty much given hope on having any meaning behind the chip. Yesterday, March 17th 2009, Apple made a release of the new iPhone OS 3.0. And during the Q&A someone asked the question:

Q:
Bluetooth on the iPod touch?
A: Bluetooth is a capability we can “unlock” on the latest-gen iPod touch.

Answered by Apple associates themselves, Bluetooth will be "unlocked" in the OS 3.0 making your iPod capable of playing multiplayer games with people near you. Unfortunately, the chip was only found in the 2nd Gen iPod, so 1st Gen users will not be able to use the bluetooth functionality.
